Would you like to spend a few hours getting to know how you can become closely involved with the operation of a famous, historical, airworthy aircraft?

We have successfully operated our wonderful Catalina Miss Pick Up on a shareholder ownership basis for many years. This enables the owners, whether pilots or non-pilots, to join a group of like-minded enthusiasts and get closely involved with flying a Second World War icon.  In order to have a small number of potential owners that we can call upon if a share comes up for sale, we occasionally run a Potential New Shareholder Open Day at our Duxford, Cambridgeshire base.  The next one will take place on October 6th 2024 and the ‘flyer’ available here gives further details.  If you are interested in attending and finding out more about how we operate without any obligation, contact us here.

The Duxford-based Catalina G-PBYA Miss Pick Up has become a very popular and reliable airshow performer throughout Europe. Importantly, she has also proved that the concept of operating a large ‘warbird’ on a shared ownership basis can be a great success and of terrific benefit to shareholders. The operator, Plane Sailing Air Displays Ltd, is planning a ‘future shareholder’ event so that a small reserve of interested individuals can be ready to join our group when one of the 25 shares becomes available, whenever an existing member retires. Share ownership gives the opportunity to fly (for qualified pilots), or fly in (for enthusiasts), the Catalina and most of our existing pilots are shareholders.

This unique and exciting event will be held at Duxford on 6th October 2024 and further information may be obtained by contacting the operator here.
