A unique four day flying event from the 1st to 4th May 2008.
It all started back in 1930 when Pierre Georges Latécoère created the first seaplane assembly plant on the banks of the Lake of Biscarrosse. Over the following years, pilots such as Saint Exupéry, Guillaumet and Mermoz, among others, were to transform flying, writing the history and legends of the aeronautics sector. The Seaplane Meeting adventure started in 1991 with just a few planes. Since then, as the only event of its kind in Europe, it has become an unprecedented success, attracting 30 seaplanes and more than 20,000 visitors a year. The International Seaplane Meeting has now established itself as a must-see event in the aeronautics sector. A busy schedule of flights and demonstrations will keep visitors entertained over the 4 days, with thirty legendary aircraft and acrobatic displays.
